Stifflexible lined notebook, flexible cover, 9x14 cm, Angel Lisa

Stifflexible lined notebook, flexible cover, 9x14 cm

Stifflexible was born in 1997, and Giuliano Mazzuoli's idea was inspired by the binding system used in an old book (dating back to around 1700) that he was shown in an ancient Florentine library. The precious volume, composed of several pages, had a sturdy cover capable of retaining its contents over time and also needed to be easy to consult: thus, a hard cover was created that was simultaneously flexible. Giuliano Mazzuoli draws inspiration from this ancient, yet modern, technique, and defines it as "rigid" for its "rigid and flexible" nature.
By using it you can appreciate its functionality, the quality of the raw materials used and its extraordinary resistance to use.
The idea of creating a hard cover that functions like a soft cover allows for the creation of an original product with a contemporary twist, while also maintaining a sense of tradition.
The interior features a black cardboard pocket for small documents. The pocket is finished with a flap that can be used as a bookmark. This is another distinguishing feature of Stifflexible.
