Growth: Giuseppe Galise, the visionary builder

In the years that followed, the baton passed into the hands of Giuseppe Galise, an entrepreneur of extraordinary foresight. Giuseppe understood that to grow, it was necessary to expand the range of fashion accessories and, above all, to diversify. In the 1930s, in response to the great exodus of immigrants to America, he opened the city's first travel agency. This insight was just the beginning: Giuseppe led the company to explore new markets, also becoming a point of reference for the sale of newspapers and writing materials.

Under his leadership, Galise was no longer just a shop: it became a symbol of progress and modernity for Corato. Giuseppe didn't just follow market changes, he anticipated them, creating a solid foundation for future generations.

Continuity: Francis and Dominic, the union of brothers

After Giuseppe, his sons Francesco and Domenico took over the reins. The two brothers embodied the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Under their guidance, Galise expanded with new products.

The Modern Era: Carlo Galise, the innovator who looks to the future

Since 2004, leadership has been handed down to Carlo Galise, who has successfully led the company to new heights without ever losing sight of its roots. A farsighted director and visionary entrepreneur, Carlo has introduced strategic innovations that have enabled Galise to compete in the global market while maintaining its ties to the local community.

Under his leadership, the company has achieved prestigious recognition: in 2014, it was included in the " Register of Historic Companies of Italy," a tribute to its century of activity. In 2018, Galise was awarded the title of " Ambassador " of Puglia by the Osservatorio Mete d'Italia, in recognition of its ability to represent Italian excellence worldwide.

In 2024, Carlo Galise, born in 1984, was awarded the prestigious AIC Luce d'Impresa Prize as "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" for his entrepreneurial skills and strategic vision, which have allowed the company to renew itself and consolidate its position on the market while keeping family traditions alive.

In the same year, the company received the title of "Historic Heritage Shop of Puglia" , a recognition awarded by the Region to businesses with over 70 years of history.

Founded in 1907, Galise has been a point of reference for the city of Corato, evolving from a retailer of fine hats to a newsstand and, subsequently, expanding its offering to include quality leather goods, fashion accessories, artist perfumery, writing instruments and refined objects . Today, Building on its tradition and constant desire for innovation, the company continues its growth with new openings, including an exclusive store dedicated to men's clothing and tailoring , born from a collaboration with Carlo Merafina , a renowned master of Italian tailoring. This space represents a true temple of masculine elegance , where the art of bespoke tailoring meets contemporary style, offering unique pieces crafted from premium materials and meticulously crafted to perfection.

To further strengthen Galise's offering, a space entirely dedicated to luggage and travel accessories has been added, designed to offer refined and functional solutions to modern travellers, with a selection of items that combine style, practicality and quality.

This recognition underlines the company's fundamental role in the regional commercial fabric and its ability to evolve over time, maintaining its roots and offering customers an experience of excellence and uncompromising quality .
